Join us for the 2nd Annual Chamber Music Intensive Weekend, a vibrant two-day celebration of chamber music, learning, and community. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or an enthusiastic amateur, this weekend offers a unique opportunity to deepen your artistry, connect with fellow musicians, and be inspired by world-class faculty.

Video Presentation: What Musicians Can Learn About Practicing From Current Brain Research

  • Presented by violist and neuroscientist Dr. Molly Gebrian, author of Learn Faster, Perform Better.

  • Masterclass:

    • Featuring Thomas Kraines, Cellist of the Daedalus String Quartet.

  • Open Rehearsal:

    • Observe your Peabody Plus Chamber Music Faculty in action.

  • Yoga for Musicians:

    • A restorative session with instructor Kara Silber, tailored to the needs of performing artists.

  • Composer Masterclass:

    • Hear original works composed for Peabody Plus student ensembles by two undergraduate composition students.

  • Open Chamber Music Reading Session:

    • Grab a group, grab a piece, grab a room! Explore chamber works in a relaxed, supportive setting.

  • Faculty Concert:

    • Featuring Peabody Chamber Music Faculty

Location & Amenities

All events take place at the Peabody Institute’s downtown campus in Baltimore’s historic Mount Vernon district.

  • Coffee and snacks provided throughout the day.

  • A light reception follows Sunday evening’s Faculty Recital.

  • Parking available in the Peabody garage.
